Resolving "The procedure entry point ... library vulkan-1.dll" error when launching Hyper Scape

Hi. As the title says, I resolved the following error. What I tried There were two. When you try these, you will need to take full responsibility for your action. Backup is important. The first one is a GPU driver update. Valkan will be installed along with the driver update, so I tried this method first. However, changing the driver sometimes causes instability, so I recommend checking the current version from the device manager. The second one is installing the latest version of Valkan Runtime. I referred to this nice Japanese article. https://emulog.net/ps3-emulator-rpcs3-cant-run-missing-vulkan-1-dll/ In my environment, the problem was resolved.  However, my GPU was too old to play :(  I hope these information helps you. Bye.

Japanese rare gadget “Earspeaker”

Hi, Good morning / afternoon / evening. I’m ponpokorin (@ponpokorin_24).

This time, I would like to introduce rare headphone… no, no, earspeaker “STAX SR-L series” to you from Japan.

It is possible to talk like listening to music through speakers, and it does not give a feeling of pressure to the ears, so it is called “earspeaker”. The price is high, but please check out this earspeaker series because it has a variety of unique features.

In addition, since the voltage etc. differs depending on the country, if you want to buy it, please buy it from your local distributor or contact STAX.

Where can we try it?

Before introducing the unique features, I would like you to try it when you come to Japan, so I would like to introduce places where you can try it in Japan.
It is the best to check official web site (Japanese) https://stax.co.jp/support/dealer/, but among them, my recommendation is Yodobashi Camera Multimedia Akiba

The background music in the store is a bit noisy, but they have a wide selection of items, and you can try relatively expensive headphones without asking the clerk. In addition, it is a duty free shop.

Appearance check

Some Japanese audiophile are sometimes call it as “insect cage headphone (虫かごヘッドホン)” because of its unique appearance. Please watch it with Japanese common insect cages.

I have never seen this appearance on other headphones, and it was very impressive when I first saw it.

The cable is a unique flat parallel 6-core cable. The plug is also unique and not a stereo mini-plug. So, the earspeakers must be connected to a driver unit manufactured by STAX to drive them.

If you want to listen to music with this ear speaker, you will need to connect player> driver> ear speaker in this order.

Light review

So far, you’ve seen the appearance, next, I’d like to write a personal review.

Regarding ear speakers, STAX stated,
基本的には上位機種ほど、高音質になるように設計・製造されています。また、人によって感じられる味覚の違いと同じように、聴覚や好みの個人差がありますので、実際のご視聴をお勧めします。Source: STAX official site
Translate to English…
“Basically, higher priced models are designed and manufactured to have higher sound quality. However, just as the taste perceived by each person is different, the sound preferred by each person is different. Therefore, we recommend that you try them.”

Following this statement, I tried two of the three SR-L series. The store I visited didn't have SR-L700 for trying.

Note: Currently, about two models, the SR-L500 and SR-L700, there are MK2 with improved fit, etc. (as of March 31, 2020).

First, as a feature, in both models (SR-L300 & SR-L500), I could hear the surrounding sounds as if I was not wearing headphones. I own open-air type headphone AKG K701, but I could hear the outside sound even more. So, I felt that there was little pressure with earspeakers. The ear pads were soft. Although it looked big, but they were not too heavy, so they were comfortable when wore it.

There is no doubt that both sounds are very natural in terms of sound quality. I thought they were perfect for listening to music in a quiet room.

The SR-L300 has a little more bass than SR-L500, and I personally liked the SR-L500 because of its more elegantly sound. I felt that SR-L500 or expensive model would be better if I would buy earspeaker. However, if you look at the (maker's suggested retail) price without tax…

SR-L300             JPY 40,000
SR-L500 MK2   JPY 75,000
SR-L700 MK2   JPY 148,000

In addition, the cheapest driver unit is JPY 89,100, which is expensive, so it is not easy to buy it.

Also, SR-L300 has a little more affordable set product called SRS-3100, but there is no set for SR-L500 MK2 and SR-L700 MK2. It's hard for me who thought that SR-L500 or more expensive model were nice.

Due to the high price, you may not want to buy it immediately. So, when you come to Japan, just try it and would you like to make your story as a souvenir for your trip?

Afterword

In Japan, my country, there are earspeakers like “insect cage”. Are there any headphones that are not well known in your country? When I travel abroad, I always go to the local electronics stores. Headphones from companies that operate globally are good, but headphones from local companies are very interesting in the terms of sound quality and design.

STAX is a long-lived manufacturer founded in 1938, but it is not well known in Japan except for audiophiles. If there is such a hidden audio maker even in a foreign country, I would like to try their product when I visit that country.

Thank you for your reading! See you again!

Japanese education system and problems of university and employment system

Hi, Good morning / afternoon / evening. I’m ponpokorin ( @ponpokorin_24 ). In this article, I will briefly explain the Japanese education system, then explain the internals of Japanese universities and the connection between universities and occupations. I am currently attending a university in Japan, so I can write more realistically. I would like to know about the state around Japanese universities. Table of contents Japanese education system Current state of Japanese universities Japanese employment system Afterword Japanese education system First, I would like to see the flow from kindergarten to university and 専門学校. Until children enter elementary school, each family can take a different choice, but after entering elementary school, children will generally go to elementary school, junior high school, and high school in six, three, and three years. Please see the image below for a rough overview. Reference: Ministry of education, culture, sport, science, and tec

Molting and Secondary growth of Apple tree

Hi. There are various discoveries when you grow plants by yourself. Today I took a picture of the molting (maybe there is a formal name...) of the new shoot of an apple tree in the second year of seedlings. The above picture is hard to look the "molting", so I expanded. If you look closely, you'll find a skin that is transparent and can be peeled off easily. When I first raised an apple tree, I thought it was an illness, but it is growing without dying. So now, I'm thinking it's one of the physiological phenomena. By the way, "Secondary growth" is another phenomenon. The trunk becomes thicker with vertical cracks as shown in the image below. At the beginning, I was worried about various things. For example, I thought my apple tree got sick by seeing the white hair (trichome) of the buds (I didn't know the buds has it). But after a year, I get used to raising apple trees. In how many years will apple trees grown from seeds bear fruit? I can't wait
