Solution of livekernelevent141 & nvlddmkm.sys in my environment

Today, I will write about Error of "nvlddmkm.sys" and "LiveKernelEvent 141."

I sometimes play online game (WoT). But I am worried about errors.  It's not a good thing to do a forced shutdown for the computer.

I want to write a conclusion first, but I tried many things at the same time, so I could not identify best solution clearly. If you want to know quickly, please check "What I tried."

Situation at the time of problem occurrence and after improvement

As a symptom, if I played WoT for one hour, the above errors occurred at least once and I was disturbed considerably. Now, the GPU temperature during the game keeps less than 90 degrees Celsius (it should be around because it is a gaming laptop) and it is working stable.

What I tried

• Clean installation of graphics driver
• Change settings from NVIDIA Control Panel
• WoT client corruption check
• Enable SpeedStep technology
• Electrical discharge
• Repaint GPU grease

Of the above, the top two have been done before and have been ineffective, so personally I don't think these are solutions.

As for the client damage check, when I reinstalled it before, I don't think it seemed to have improved situation so much, so I did it just in case.

Of the remaining three, the ones that worked were, in my case, enabling SpeedStep technology and the discharge.

Earlier, I was disabling SpeedStep technology because I thought that the power saving function would degrade the performance. It may have been an obstacle.

As a guess, it's a gaming laptop, so it might have been designed with power consumption that included using SpeedStep technology.

The power plug on my gaming laptop has a ground terminal, but I didn't use it.

I noticed this and came up with a discharge. In my case, after removing the plug from the outlet and leaving it for about 10 minutes, the symptoms improved after setting up again.

Finally, about GPU grease. I thought it might be a problem that the temperature of GPU was too high and repainted it. However, as mentioned above, my gaming laptop is now under 90 ℃ after improvement. Given that the crash was between 75 ℃ and 80 ℃, it might have helped, but I think the relationship with the improvement is not strong.

I worry about...

My gaming laptop cannot control CPU fan speed from BIOS (I don't think high-end ones are same). So, controlling the fan speed is beyond my control ... (I can't control my fans with MSI after burner too...)

Basically, the GPU heats up more than the CPU during the game, but my gaming laptop seems to determine the fan speed based on the CPU temperature, so the fan does not rotate at full speed even though GPU heats up seriously unless the PC crashed and the CPU temperature was very high, which is a disappointing behavior.

I tried free software called "notebook fan control", but it didn't work ...

Rather, Kaspersky suddenly flew at the time of uninstallation and said, "This is like a Trojan horse." These programs have been successfully exterminated. Even so, it was the first time that a warning was flying when uninstalling. Did it hide in the uninstaller?

Since free software is at your own risk, I think it's a good idea not to install them unless they're necessary.

At the end

I can't say for sure because I don't have a certain memory, but I think that turning off SpeedStep was the result of trying to solve some other problem. At that time, SpeedStep was turned on, but the trouble was occurring, so it may not be said that turning off SpeedStep was the cause of all the troubles.

In short, please try multiple way, not just one.
