Resolving "The procedure entry point ... library vulkan-1.dll" error when launching Hyper Scape

Hi. As the title says, I resolved the following error. What I tried There were two. When you try these, you will need to take full responsibility for your action. Backup is important. The first one is a GPU driver update. Valkan will be installed along with the driver update, so I tried this method first. However, changing the driver sometimes causes instability, so I recommend checking the current version from the device manager. The second one is installing the latest version of Valkan Runtime. I referred to this nice Japanese article. https://emulog.net/ps3-emulator-rpcs3-cant-run-missing-vulkan-1-dll/ In my environment, the problem was resolved.  However, my GPU was too old to play :(  I hope these information helps you. Bye.

If you hate studying, here are the 2 solutions and reasons

Hi, Good morning / afternoon / evening. I am ponpokorin (@ponpokorin_24).

It’s sudden, but do you think some people really like studying?

From my experience, the answer is yes.

So why do people generally dislike studying?
What should you do if you dislike studying?
Is there any fact from people who like studying that you can use?

I personally summarized the answers to these questions. I did not like studying at first too, but overcame it, now, I got GPA 3.6 of 4.0.

In this article, I will write about mindsets toward studying so that you come to no longer hate it.

Table of contents

  • Conclusion
  • Studying disliked by people
  • Difference between "do" and "be forced to do"
  • A lot of thing that give you fun
  • Summary

Conclusion

First, I will write a conclusion. That is to have the following two mindsets.

  • I can stop studying at any time, but I am doing it for myself
  • Studying may not be so interesting at first, but it is not particularly boring

Maybe, these solutions don’t seem revolutionary. However, if you know the following reasons, you will be convinced their usefulness.

Then, I will write about why.

Studying disliked by people

As a preparation for thinking about mindsets, let's think about why study is so disliked.

I think that there are not many people who like studying more than games, sports, hobbies, etc. among general middle and high school students. I think most of the people think that studying is annoying, boring, uninteresting or not fun.

Even if there are many university students and working people who say "I have to study because I have to do it" or "to improve my skills", I think that few people are willing to study for fun.

I think there are two reasons behind this condition. these are

  1. There are a lot of studying forced by others.
  2. Many things sound like fun than studying.

First, I would like to write about 1 while citing a psychological research.

Difference between "do" and "be forced to do"

I think the biggest difference between those who like studying and those who dislike studying is here. I think that people who like studying have a habit of voluntarily working, for some reason, and have a weak sense of "being forced by someone".

Experiment below is known in the field of psychology.

Glass & Singer (1972) had participants in two groups (controllable group / non-controllable group) hear an unpleasant sound (jet roar) and then had them solve problems (Stroop task, etc.). The controllable group could stop the unpleasant sound at the push of a button, the non-controllable group could not. However, the participants in the controllable group were taught to be as patient as possible not to press the button, so in reality, everyone heard the same unpleasant sound. As a result of the experiment, it is shown that the non-controllable group has a lower efficiency of solving problems than the controllable group and has a higher degree of recognizing the unpleasant sound as a stressor. * 1 (translation by ponpokorin (me) )

The results of this experiment show that if you think that something uncomfortable (the jet roar) cannot be controlled by you, you will be more likely to feel stress from that object. On the other hand, if you are willing to do it (there is a button that stops the jet roar, but you don't stop it), it results less stress from uncomfortable things.

What I can say from above is that you more likely to get stressed while you think studying is uncomfortable and you can't control conditions around studying.

A lot of thing that give you fun

Next, about 2 "Many things sound like fun than studying." This is my subjective opinion, not scientific one.

Social media and (video) games give you fun instantly than studying because they are easy to understand, looked funny, and need not consider profoundly. Therefore, it seems natural that there are not many people who are willing to study.

However, when compared to food, I think games and social media are junk food.

Certain degree of deliciousness (fun) is guaranteed, but if you eat (enjoy / play) it every day, you will eventually get tired of it, get bad health, and reach a limit of the joy of eating (enjoying / playing) at some point because you will get used to the deliciousness.

A few years ago, I was completely into the game, so I will tell you about my experiences at that time.

First | "Ahh this game is fun."
When I am playing it every day | "I'm getting tired of it..."
And then | "Is there a more enjoyable game? (with watching Steam site)"
Like this.

On the other hand, studying is not so interesting at first, but it becomes even more interesting when you can read difficult books or understand mathematical formulas etc. I think studying is more interesting than fun. It is slowly, but as your knowledge grows, so does your interest. Academic knowledge is so deep that you never get bored so easily.

In my opinion, however, that "not so interesting at first" is becoming the major obstacle. As a result, many people give up study and don't give up games or social media like junk food.

Do you fell refreshed by understanding the reasons above, don't you?

If you specify what part of studying you dislike, rather than just vaguely dislike studying, you can try to solve it.

Studying has been around us for a long time, so we shouldn't hate it as much as possible.

So, as a solution, I proposed to change your mindsets about studying.

  1. I can stop studying at any time, but I am doing it for myself
  2. Studying may not be so interesting at first, but it is not particularly boring

In this way, by updating the image of study in yourself, you should be less likely to feel uncomfortable. If studying looks like your daily routine like brushing your teeth and taking a bath etc., it's OK.

Summary

My opinion was that studying was not too uncomfortable thing.

For example, when it comes to playing games, if someone asked you to do it every day, you would gradually get tired of it, even if it was fun for the first week. At that time, you were told to read a book for an hour, this one hour should become special time.

After all, if the perception changes, your feeling changes too. I think that studying, reading, playing games, playing sports, and so on, are not originally boring nor originally interesting.

The important thing is that thinking such as "I am willing to do", "I have control to do." If you get used to have sense of having control, you may feel less stressed.

Thank you for your reading! See you again!

Japanese education system and problems of university and employment system

Hi, Good morning / afternoon / evening. I’m ponpokorin ( @ponpokorin_24 ). In this article, I will briefly explain the Japanese education system, then explain the internals of Japanese universities and the connection between universities and occupations. I am currently attending a university in Japan, so I can write more realistically. I would like to know about the state around Japanese universities. Table of contents Japanese education system Current state of Japanese universities Japanese employment system Afterword Japanese education system First, I would like to see the flow from kindergarten to university and 専門学校. Until children enter elementary school, each family can take a different choice, but after entering elementary school, children will generally go to elementary school, junior high school, and high school in six, three, and three years. Please see the image below for a rough overview. Reference: Ministry of education, culture, sport, science, and tec

Molting and Secondary growth of Apple tree

Hi. There are various discoveries when you grow plants by yourself. Today I took a picture of the molting (maybe there is a formal name...) of the new shoot of an apple tree in the second year of seedlings. The above picture is hard to look the "molting", so I expanded. If you look closely, you'll find a skin that is transparent and can be peeled off easily. When I first raised an apple tree, I thought it was an illness, but it is growing without dying. So now, I'm thinking it's one of the physiological phenomena. By the way, "Secondary growth" is another phenomenon. The trunk becomes thicker with vertical cracks as shown in the image below. At the beginning, I was worried about various things. For example, I thought my apple tree got sick by seeing the white hair (trichome) of the buds (I didn't know the buds has it). But after a year, I get used to raising apple trees. In how many years will apple trees grown from seeds bear fruit? I can't wait
